Abstract
Natural capital is one of many forms of capital thus recognized, as is also the case of financial, human, social and intellectual capital. Natural capital is also, part of the daily basis of most companies. Their activities rely on natural capital and also, impact them in different ways. For that reason, natural capital must be discussed and taken into account in every step of the value chain.
Portuguese companies are already doing this, and some are taking one step further. In this panel, it will be discussed the experience of Portuguese companies in managing natural capital in innovative ways and projects of nature conservation that they were involved on. They will be sharing the importance of biodiversity conservation in their activities, the importance of working together with different entities and involving many of their stakeholders.
